United Association
The United Association offers many certifications related to the plumbing, pipefitting, sprinkler fitting,
and HVACR industries. Certifications include welding, backflow prevention, valve repair, refrigerant handling,
and medical gas installation. For a complete list and to see what is offered in your area please call your
local union Training Coordinator.
Washtenaw Community College
Washtenaw Community College offers a certificate in Construction Supervision and Industrial Training. These
programs also offer students the opportunity to earn an associate degree. For more information about WCC's

UA STAR
The UA STAR certification program enables UA members to receive industry recognition for their training and
technical skills in the the areas of plumbing, pipefitting, sprinkler fitting, and HVACR service technician.
UA members with five years of work experience also receive 32 college credits upon successful completion of the
