Washtenaw Community College offers UA members the opportunity to earn an associate degree or certificate in
Construction Supervision, Industrial Training, and Journeyworker General Studies. The credits earned through your
five year apprenticeship or the UA STAR exam may be applied toward any of these degrees.
- Construction Supervision: In this program you can learn fundamental supervision skills, project
management, contracts, and legal aspects of the construction industry.
- Industrial Training: This program is for selected UA apprentice instructors. It is part of the UA's
Instructor Training Program held at WCC each August.
- Journeyworker General Studies: For students who know they want to pursue a four-year degree, and are
looking to use their associate degree to complete their general education coursework.
- Environmental Technology: This program is for UA HVACR Service Technician members who wish to extend their
training and prepare for more advanced technical positions.
